Microsecond Timestamp

A microsecond is one millionth of a second. A microsecond timestamp records the time of an observation with up to six digits after the second, when this precision is available for the chosen data.

Timestamp precision describes how finely time is represented; it does not mean that observations arrive at fixed microsecond intervals. Availability and the exact timestamp convention depend on the market and source.
